wine@34south imports fine South African wines, representing boutique family wineries from most of the leading coastal appellations. Each winery expresses the character of the family through their internationally acclaimed wines, including Shiraz, Pinotage, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and the special wines of champenoise, botrytis sauvignon-semillon and port.
Some of the wineries are amongst the oldest properties in the Cape, some are amongst the leading-edge wineries of the 80s and early 90s, while others represent the millenial generation. All create wines that they grow, hand-pick, make and bottle at the winery. Flavor profiles encompass the richness of new world fruit while always paying homage to the Capes French heritage with the structure of old world balance.
All of these wineries participate in the Integrated Production of Wine, which has strict regulations relating to environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
